IIT ROPAR TO CONDUCT 9th CONVOCATION VIRTUALLY
IIT Ropar to hold 2020 convocation online due to COVID-19 pandemic; will be ‘memorable event’- Director, IIT Ropar
Ropar 3rd December () : In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, IIT Ropar will hold its Ninth convocation virtually on 4th December 2020. The Convocation is pre-recorded and will be streamed at 2:30 pm on YouTube on 4th December 2020.
The Chief guest for the Convocation is Prof. K. VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India. Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Board of Governors will preside over the function. Director, IIT Ropar, Prof. Sarit K Das will present the annual report of the Institute.
“Keeping in view the safety measures during the ongoing pandemic, the institute will hold its convocation in virtual reality mode for its graduating students,” said the Director, IIT Ropar.
Medals will be presented to meritorious graduates during the convocation. The graduates will be conferred the degrees. The Chief Guest and Chairman BoG, IIT Ropar will share their address for the graduating class.
The graduates will also get an opportunity to share their experiences through online mode.
