According to the Health Department’s report dated September 15, the Mann government is not just providing relief. It is setting an example of trust. The special health campaign launched across 2,303 villages has sparked new hope throughout the state.Officials have already organized health camps in 2,016 villages, where doctors checked up 51,612 people and provided them on-the-spot treatment and medicines. These are the very people the floods had left helpless. But today, they feel not only relief. They also feel that the government is there for them, standing right beside them.
Health Camps : government is distributing kits that include ORS
The most significant aspect of this entire campaign is that the government itself is reaching out to the people. In 1,929 villages, ASHA workers have gone door-to-door, checking the health of 1,32,322 families and providing medicines and medical kits to those in need. The government is distributing kits that include ORS, paracetamol, Dettol, band-aids, creams, and essential medicines. People themselves are saying that, for the first time, the government is knocking on their doors without waiting to be called.
Along with health, the speed of work in sanitation and disease prevention has become the new face of Punjab’s administrative approach. Officials have inspected mosquito breeding sites in 1,861 villages, covering 1,08,770 houses. They found larvae in 2,163 houses and immediately took action, spraying larvicide in 23,630 houses. They also conducted fogging operations in 878 villages to root out dengue and malaria. The teams are fogging several villages in a single day, ensuring that no corner, street, or household is left out of the government’s reach.
government employee works on the ground
These are not just numbers; they reflect a mindset that treats the people as family. When every minister, MLA, officer, and government employee works on the ground, when teams use modern resources, medical tools, and technical strength, and when they serve with clear intent—then they turn change from a dream into a reality.
Today, what is reaching Punjab’s villages is not just medicine. It is a message. The government does not back away from responsibility. It steps forward to fulfill its duty. The Mann government’s health mission has now become more than just a government initiative. It has become a symbol of people’s trust. And this is why today Punjab’s voice is loud and clear. This is not just a government; this is our service. In the truest sense, the Aam Aadmi Party’s government is our own government.
