GURDASPUR GETS BONANZA OF BABA BANDA SINGH BAHADUR INTER STATE BUS TERMINAL
DELHI CM ARVIND KEJRIWAL AND CM BHAGWANT MANN DEDICATE IT TO PEOPLE

In a major bonanza to the residents of the border districts of Gurdaspur and Pathankot, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday kicked off/ announced/ laid foundation stone of development projects worth Rs 1854 crore thereby ushering a new era of ‘Vikas Kranti’.
Both the Chief Ministers gifted New Sugar Mill with Cogeneration Plant at Gurdaspur Cooperative Sugar Mill coming up at a cost of Rs 402 crore and New Sugar Mill with Cogeneration Plant at Batala Cooperative Sugar Mill worth Rs 296 crore. These ambitious projects will be operational by January 2024 and will be a big boon to the sugarcane farmers. They also presented 400 KV Power project at Wadala Granthian coming up at a cost of Rs 360.83 crore, RDSS (Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme of PSPCL for Gurdaspur and Pathankot at a cost of Rs 129.54 crore and Rs 93.24 crore respectively.
Likewise, both the Chief Ministers gifted Upgradation of Healthcare Infrastructure viz OPD, Labs OT, Car Parking to the residents of Pathankot at a cost of Rs 53.30 crore. They also presented 220 kV D/C link between 220 kV S/S Butari and 400 kV S/S Wadala Granthian at a cost of Rs 52.81 crore and Sewerage Treatment Plant worth Rs 50 crore to the residents of Batala. Similarly Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also gifted New Bio CNG Project capacity 100 TPT being set up at Batala Cooperative Sugar Mill on BOT basis at a cost of Rs 40 crore, which will be operational by this month.
Both the Chief Ministers also presented 220 KV Nawanpind (new grid in the premises of 66 KV S/s Nawanpind), 220 kv Gurdaspur including SAS and New 66 kV lines and Augmentation of 66 kV lines (Gurdaspur & Pathankot) to residents of Gurdaspur at a cost of Rs 39.74 crore, Rs 33.44 crore and Rs 30 crore respectively. They also gifted Evacuation system of Shahpur Kandi Hydel Project to residents of Sujanpur at a cost of Rs 28.55 crore. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also laid the foundation stone of Agriculture College, Kalanaur which will come up at a cost of Rs 22 crore.
Once operational this college, coming up over 100 acre of land, will be a boon for Kalanaur and will emerge as an exclusive research centre for agriculture development. Both the Chief Ministers also inaugurated Under Railway Bridge, Tibri Road which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 21 crore to tackle the huge traffic problem on this road. They also dedicated Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Inter State Bus Terminal constructed over six acre of land in Gurdaspur at a cost of Rs 14.92 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also gifted a project of Construction of Building of new SubDivision/Tehsil Complex Batala at a cost of Rs 11.06 crore to facilitate the people. They also laid the foundation stone of Upgradation of link road village Ghonewal to Mansoor and construction of Bridge on the same in Dera Baba Nanak at a cost of Rs 10.73 crore. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also dedicated a Bye-pass protein plant of 50 MT cattle feed plant at Ghaniye ke Bangar constructed at a cost of Rs 10.15 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also presented a project of interception and Diversion of network including Dismantling and Reconditioning of Roads at Sujanpur Town at a cost of Rs 9.41 crore. They also gifted a project for upgradation of link road from Makora Pattan to seven Villages in remote area beyond Ravi river in Dinanagar at a cost of Rs 8.41 crore. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also presented a power project of OPGW link in Sujanpur at a cost of Rs 8 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also gifted a project of providing for Sewerage Networking including Dismantling and Reconditioning of Roads in Narot Jaimal Singh Town at a cost of Rs 7.06 crore. They also presented a gift of a project to construct the Building of new Sub Division/Tehsil Complex in Kalanaur at a cost of Rs 6.61 crore. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also dedicated New Sub-Division/Tehsil Complex Dinannagar at a cost of Rs 6.60 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also gifted a project of Augmentation and Rehabilitation of Water Supply System in Sujanpur Town at a cost of Rs 5.86 crore. They also presented 66 KV Grid Kot Dhandhal and 66 KV Sub-Station at Chak Arayian in Gurdaspur to people at a cost of Rs 5.16 crore and Rs 5.12 crore respectively. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also gifted a project for extension and augmentation of Water Supply System in Narot Jaimal Singh at a cost of Rs 4.60 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also presented a project of Setting up 1 MLD STP at Industrial Growth Centre, Pathankot for treatment of waste water of industrial area at a cost of Rs 3.13 crore. They also gifted a project for Augmentation of Water Supply System at Pathankot by spending Rs 2.65 crore. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also inaugurated New Sub-Tehsil Building at Dorangla, (Sub Division Dinanagar) constructed at a cost of Rs 2.36 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also dedicated an Emergency ward in CHC Kalanaur constructed at a cost of Rs 2.25 crore to provide health facilities to people in case of medical emergency. In order to provide regular supply of potable drinking water to people, they also inaugurated Water Supply Scheme Awankha, Water Supply scheme Khiala and Water Supply Scheme Babri at a cost of Rs 1.82 crore, Rs 0.77 crore and 0.75 crore respectively. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also presented a project of construction of a new control- room building by replacing the old control – room building in Pathankot at a cost of Rs 1.15 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers also gifted project of Sahoura Kalan Water Supply Scheme at a cost of Rs 0.77 crore, which will be operational by the end of this month. They also inaugurated the newly constructed Food and Drug Administration Zonal Office in Gurdaspur at a cost of Rs 0.74 crore. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also presented a project of Power Transformer augmentation from 6.3 MVA to 12.5 MVA at 66 KV Sub Station Rangar Nanga over a cost of 0.70 crore.
Both the Chief Ministers inaugurated Water supply schemes at Baknour and Gharota Kalan over a cost of Rs 0.63 crore and 0.25 crore. They also laid the foundation stone of an ambitious project for renovation of Keshopur Shambh at a cost of Rs 0.39 crore. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal also inaugurated four new constructed Class Rooms at Government Senior Secondary School, Behrampur, four new Class Rooms at Government Senior Secondary School, Bariar, three newly constructed Class Rooms at Government High School Kalabala, two new constructed Class Rooms at Government Senior Secondary School, Dhupsari and two new constructed rooms at Government Primary School, Bhagol, Kahnuwan-2 at a cost of Rs 0.30 crore, Rs 0.30 crore, Rs 0.23 crore, Rs 0.15 crore and Rs 0.15 crore respectively. They also gifted a project of upgradation of 132 KV Sub Station in Pathankot at a cost of Rs 0.21 crore to people.
