Following this vision, the authorities have now named a major road in the Chabbewal area of Hoshiarpur district “Dr. Satinder Sartaj Road.” This step is not just about renaming a road, but about honoring an artist who has made every Punjabi proud with his Sufi voice, poetry, and humility.
This initiative, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, shows the Punjab government’s forward-thinking approach. It aims to spread messages of respect and inspiration through art, education, and culture in every corner of the state. The government has set a new example of honoring the state’s rich culture and art. The road will now be known as ‘Dr. Satinder Sartaj Road’. Punjab’s Public Works Department (B&R Branch) has issued an official notification for this road naming.

CM Mann to Inaugurate “Sartaj Road” as a Tribute to Punjabi Pride
The authorities will hold the road inauguration ceremony on Monday, November 10, at 11 AM at Dana Mandi, Chabbewal. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann himself will preside over this historic occasion.Along with him, MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, and MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar will be present. This event is being organized by Punjab Public Works Department (B&R Branch). The Public Works Department (B&R Branch), Hoshiarpur, will hold the ceremony. It will be supervised by Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain.
