Ghar Ghar Rozgar: Foreign Study & Placement Cell completes first round of counselling
400 Youth participated in the first round of counselling
Chandigarh, March 31:
The Government of Punjab under its flagship scheme ‘Punjab Ghar Ghar Rozgar’ has started a Foreign Study and Placement Cell (FS &PC) for counselling the youth interested in foreign study and foreign placement. The first round of counselling was held from 1st-31st March, 2021 where around 400 Youth participated in the first round of counselling.
The Punjab Technical Education Minister Charanjit Singh Channi in a press statement issued today said that students from each district of the state were called for a day-long session of counselling involving group and individual counselling and a doubt session. The minister said that the participants were provided counselling about an overview of the various methods to go abroad, both on study and work visa. Discussions on the basics terms and conditions associated were held so that the candidates could be guided about fair and transparent ways to move abroad. English proficiency requirements, funds and academic requirements were also discussed.
Channi further said that the Individual profiles of the candidates were studied and every candidate was recommended about the most suitable country, course or profession to be pursued. The sessions were concluded with an hour long doubt session where general queries and FAQs were addressed.
