Jalandhar, July 1 The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab dealt a major blow to the Congress Monday when former deputy mayor Parvesh Tangri, former PSSC director and councillor from ward no. 78 Jagdish Ram Samrai and Raj Kumar Raju left the BJP and Congress and joined the AAP.
Jagdish Samrai is a prominent leader, he held many posts in PPCC and has been active in politics for many years now. The departure of deputy mayor and MCs from their respective parties will be a big setback for the BJP and Congress just before the by-election of Jalandhar west assembly constituency.
