FM Cheema Hands Over Appointment Letters to 15 candidates
Chandigarh, August 14 Punjab Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema on Wednesday handed over appointment letters to 15 candidates, marking a significant step towards fulfilling the government’s commitment to providing employment opportunities to the youth.
Government Issues Appointment Letters to 436 Candidates
“They gave appointment letters to 9 Junior Scale Stenographers, 1 Clerk (Accounts), 1 Clerk in the Excise and Taxation Department, and 4 Clerks in the Local Audit Wing of the Finance Department.”
“Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated that the government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has issued appointment letters to 436 candidates for various posts in the Excise and Taxation Department. Consequently, this move underscores our commitment not only to providing employment opportunities to the youth but also to strengthening our public services.”
Minister Announces Selection of 160 Excise Inspectors, 276 Clerks
“The Minister stated that they selected 160 candidates as Excise and Tax Inspectors, 142 as Clerks, 39 as Clerks (Legal), 25 as Clerks (Accounts), 5 as Clerks (IT), 56 as Stenotypists, and 9 as Junior Scale Stenographers. Moreover, Cheema emphasized that these appointments will not only fulfill the dreams of the youth to secure government jobs but also, more importantly, will play a vital role in significantly increasing the revenue for the Punjab Government. Furthermore, he added, these young professionals will be instrumental in driving growth and development in the state.”
