DR. BALJIT KAUR GREETS PEOPLE ON DIWALI AND BANDI CHHOR DIWAS

Chandigarh, November 11

Social Security, Women and Child Development and Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr  Baljit Kaur today congratulated the people on the holy festival of Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas.  In her message, she appealed to the people and said that we should celebrate Green Diwali to save our environment from pollution.

The Minister also congratulated the entire people especially the Sikh Panth on the historic day of ‘Bandi Chhor Diwas’.  This day is celebrated to mark the release of 52 Hindu kings from Gwalior Fort on Diwali by the sixth Patshah Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib.

  She prayed to God that this festival brings peace and happiness to the people of Punjab and India.
