Major digital transformation in Punjab administration by 2025: 1.85 lakh people access 437 services from their homes, Mann government eliminates office visits
Chandigarh, January 1, 2026 ; Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government has achieved a historic milestone by making the state’s administrative structure completely digital and citizen-friendly by 2025. Today, Digital Punjab has become a state in the country where the government operates from people’s homes, not offices. This wave of administrative reforms has ensured transparency and accountability in government functioning. It has also uprooted the decades-old culture of “recommendations and delays.”
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora discussed this transformative change. He said that the state government’s visionary policies have enabled the common citizen of Punjab to avail government services. These services can now be accessed from the comfort of their homes. The “Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar” scheme is a strong pillar of this digital revolution. It provides over 1.85 lakh citizens with 437 different services at their doorsteps. This scheme not only saves time but has also emerged as a major support for the elderly and rural residents.
Digital Punjab: 12.46 Lakh Applications Cleared Without Middlemen
The Revenue Department has shown the greatest example of administrative efficiency, with Patwaris processing over 12.46 lakh applications online.
This incorporation of technology has simplified land and property-related tasks, which were once a hotbed of corruption and delays. The entire process is now paperless, and QR-coded digital certificates have added a new dimension to security and authenticity. This eliminates the need for citizens to visit offices or resort to middlemen.
The key to this government’s success is real-time monitoring through the “Digital Dashboard.” Thanks to this state-of-the-art system, pendency (pending cases) across all departmental services has now dropped to a mere 0.33%, the lowest level in the state’s administrative history. Minister Aman Arora clarified that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has issued clear directives. He insists that authorities complete public work within the given timeframes. There must be no hindrance in completing these tasks. Today, Punjab has proven that combining technology and strong political will can establish a transparent and corruption-free governance system. This system directly serves the welfare of the common man.
