Digital Media Association welcomes Punjab CM decision to pay Rs.50 lakhs to journalist killed in Lakhimpur violence

CHANDIGARH: The Digital Media Association Punjab today welcomed and thanked Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for announcement of paying Rs,50 lakh compensation to kin of journalist Raman Kashyap who was killed in violence in Lakhimpur Kheri in UP on October 3 last.

 

The Association members in a resolution an independent probe shall be held into the killing of Journalist because his father has claimed his son was shot dead. The Association said that Raman Kahsyap was doing his duty and attack on him is on media.

 

Those signed the resolution included Baljit Balli Chief Patron, Satinder Bains Chairman, Devinderjit Singh Darshi President, H.S.Bawa Senior Vice President, Mahavir Jain Vice president, Davinder Singh Kohli General Secretary, Parminder Singh Jattpuri Cashier and Prashant Sharma Joint Secretary.
