DOUBLE ENGINE A SHAM, NEW ENGINE GOVERNMENT HAS BROUGHT REVOLUTIONARY CHANGES IN PUNJAB: SAYS KEJRIWAL

LAUDS CM BHAGWANT SINGH MANN FOR DEDICATEDLY WORKING TO AMELIORATE THE SUFFERINGS OF PEOPLE

 

SAS Nagar (Mohali), September 15-

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that the much hyped double engine governments in several states have proved to be a disaster whereas new engine government in Punjab is bringing revolutionary changes in system.

Addressing the gathering during Sarkar Sannatkaar milni here today, the Delhi Chief Minister said that double engine government was mere phraseology (Jumla) to befool people whereas this new engine government is a commitment to ensure well being of every section of society. He said that major projects worths crores of rupees are being introduced for inclusive development of industries in Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, state government has been working tirelessly  to revamp the system and bring revolutionary reform in the state.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that the double engine government had only befooled the people and plundered government money. He said that this money was siphoned off to give benefits to the friends of the both the engines much to dismay of common man. However, Arvind Kejriwal asserted that Punjab government is working round-the-clock for the people to fulfill all its guarantees made during poll campaigns.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that Punjab is now witnessing reverse immigration trend of industries due to strenuous efforts put by the CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. He said that 450 industrial units have migrated from other states to set up their units in Punjab and it is a testimony to the fact that people have faith in the working of Punjab government particularly the Chief Minister. Arvind Kejriwal said that the state government is making strenuous efforts for progress of the state and prosperity of its people.

The Delhi Chief Minister bemoaned that the previous governments in the state were atrocious, tyrannical and even extortionist as they didn’t allow the industrialists to work properly.  He said that the Punjab government has already received over Rs 50,000 crore  investment which will provide 2.86 lakh employment to youth of the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that 2.75 lakh MSMEs had  been registered by Punjab which is highest so far in the country.

The Delhi Chief Minister reiterated that Bhagwant Mann is his younger brother and he is proud of him for making best efforts to restore pristine glory of the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that during floods, Mann took stock of situation by going on grassroots through boats and ensured relief to them. He said that earlier, CMs used to ferry helicopters to do same practice. He exhorted the industrialists that Without them Punjab cannot grow and with them the government will take state to new heights.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that sector-wise task force of industrialists will be formed to seek their suggestions and implement it to ensure that they don’t face any hardship in running their business in the state. Arvind Kejriwal said that this milni is a step forward towards resolving all the issues faced by industrialists. He said that Punjabis are lucky to get Bhagwant Singh Mann as its Chief Minister, who has been working diligently for the Punjab.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that Bhagwant Singh Mann is working overtime for welfare of Punjabis. He said that the Chief Minister is moving in every nook and corner of the state to solve the issues faced by Punjabis. He said that the this milni is not to seek votes but to address the problems of industrialists.

The Delhi Chief Minister said that the aim of these events are to expand the local industry of the state by 10 folds. Arvind Kejriwal said that with the support of the state government, the agenda of industrialists will help in giving a boost to the industry in the state. He said that every effort will be made to develop Punjab as a front ranking state in country.
