Slams Sukhbir Badal for misleading people

Chandigarh, December 6-

President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Sunil Jakhar today reminded the President of Shiromani Akali Dal Sukhbir Singh Badal that Congress was opposing the draconian farmers law from day one whereas Akali Dal, which changed its stance after witnessing anger of people, was part and parcel of this sinister move.

The President of Punjab Congress advised Sukhbir Singh Badal to stop misleading campaign against Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and dare to raise voice against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Congress party was always with the Farmers and would always remain so. Mr Jakhar said that had Akali leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal opposed these bills as Cabinet by sacrificing their lust for power then country would not have faced these dark days.

The President of Punjab Congress said that Akali had been stooge of BJP when this anti-farmer was framed. He said that it was only vehement protest by farmers that Akali Dal was forced to quit the alliance under pressure. Mr Jakhar said that Congress party had been opposing these anti-farmer laws tooth and nail from day one.

The President of Punjab Congress said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had been opposing these laws forcefully without bowing to pressure of Union government. He said that even during the all party meeting Akali Dal had took different stand whereas now it was misleading the people. Mr Jakhar said that ironically while Sukhbir was spitting venom against Chief Minister his stoic silence against Prime Minister was raising doubts about his sincerity.

President of Punjab Congress said that Union government was adamant on implementing these black laws and it would be better if Akali Dal launches some agitation against the centre. He said that people of Punjab were wise enough to judge about credentials of anybody. Mr Jakhar questioned the Akali Dal chief that why he had advocating these laws as boon for farmers adding that wasn’t the former Deputy Chief Minister aware of these laws.
