Education Minister meets principals going to Singapore for 7 days training
Chandigarh, July 21:
Punjab School Education minister Harjot Singh Bains today said that due to strenuous efforts of the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann the confidence of people has been restored in the government schools.
The Minister met the third and fourth batch of 72 principals who are scheduled to go for training at Principals Academy of Singapore in Kisan Bhavan today.
In his address, S. Bains said that the aim of the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is to bring revolution in the field of education in the state of Punjab, for which continuous efforts are being made. He said that the government under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann has made an effort to educate students through new technologies to make them compete with their convent educated peers besides giving facelift to government schools. He said that this training of principals is being conducted under this initiative.
He said that the principal has a very important role in making schools better. Principals not only spend their time after school hours for the betterment of the school but also improving the appearance of government schools by putting money from their own pockets.
- Bains said that from the results of the admission campaign conducted by the School Education Department and the feedback received from the people of Punjab, it is also clear that the people of Punjab have regained their trust in government schools. The Education Minister strongly commended the officials of the department for making the selection process of principals selected to receive training at Singapore a high standard. This batch of principals will undergo training from 22 July to 29 July 2023 at Singapore.
On this occasion, the principals who are going to get training shared the selection process and other experiences with the Education Minister.
