CM LEADS VIDHAN SABHA IN OBITUARY REFERENCES TO EMINENT PERSONALITIES

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday led the Vidhan Sabha in paying homage to eminent personalities, including political personalities, freedom fighter, Martyr, Player and departed souls of Orissa Train Tragedy, who passed away since the last sitting of the Assembly.
On its sitting of Fourth Session of the 16th Vidhan Sabha, the House paid its respects to Former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, besides Former Minister Chaudhary Swarna Ram, Former Deputy Speaker Jaswant Singh, Former MLA Rumal Chand, Freedom Fighter Ujagar Singh, Martyr Mandeep Singh Havildar, Martyr Sepoy Kulwant Singh Charrik, Martyr Sepoy Harkrishan Singh & Martyr Sepoy Sewak Singh, renowned player Kaur Singh & Kiran Ajit Pal Singh, Seasoned Actor Mangal Dhillon and Martyr Naib Subedar Balbir Singh Rana.
After the obituary references, the Speaker Vidhan Sabha Kultar Singh Sandhwan moved a resolution for conveying the condolences of the House to their respective families, which was accepted unanimously.
A two-minute silence was observed in the memory of departed souls as a mark of respect during the obituary references.
