CM CONTINUES ‘MISSION ROZGAR’ AS 50, 892 YOUTH GIVEN JOBS IN LAST 35 MONTHS
Chandigarh, February 19 : The Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Singh Mann, advanced mission rozgar. He handed over appointment letters for government jobs to 497 youth on Wednesday. This act set a new milestone. It illuminated the lives of 50,892 families in the last around three years after assuming the charge of office.
On Wednesday, the Chief Minister handed over letters to youth in various departments. These include the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, School Education Department, and Higher Education and Languages. Also included are the Rural Development and Science, Technology and Environment Departments.

The Chief Minister addressed the gathering here at the Municipal Bhawan. He said that it is a momentous occasion. These youth are becoming a part of the family of the Punjab government. He expressed hope. He believes these youth will join the respective departments. They will become active partners in the socio-economic development of the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said it is the first time in the state’s history. A government has given 50,892 jobs to the youth in just 35 months of being in power.
The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction for him. They have given all the jobs completely on the basis of merit.
There was no corruption or nepotism. He said that the opposition parties make hue and cry over the jobs. They suffer from ‘selective blindness’ as they never see these youth who get employment. He added that they had never given any single job to the youth during their tenure.Bhagwant Singh Mann said that they reserved any given job for their close relatives and near ones, completely ignoring the common man.
MISSION ROZGAR : The Chief Minister said that the state government fills all the posts promptly. The department fills them as soon as they become vacant. He said they have adopted a foolproof mechanism for the entire recruitment process. As a result, no one has challenged these nearly 50,000 job appointments in court.Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is a proud moment for the government of Punjab. It is because these youth have been given government jobs completely on the basis of merit.
The Chief Minister said that the incident of deporting of youth from the USA is a significant lesson. It serves as a big lesson for all of us. Instead of going abroad in search of green pastures, the youth of the state must work hard here only. They should achieve success in various fields. He said that the state government is providing a number of opportunities for youth to excel in various arenas. Citing an example, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that more than 51,000 youth have secured government jobs in the state. They achieved this through hard work, dedication, and commitment.
Reverse Migration Rising as Youth Secure Multiple Jobs in State: CM
New Milestone : The Chief Minister said that there are examples where youth have obtained two to three jobs in the state. This has occurred during the last one year. He added that due to this, the trend of reverse migration has started. Youth who had earlier settled abroad are now making a beeline to come and join the state government. He said that in today’s function, a couple has returned from Canada to join government service here. Similarly, a young man decided not to go abroad as he got a job here. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government is offering the job to youth daily. They should take advantage of this situation. Youth should work here.
Describing it as a historical juncture, the Chief Minister envisioned that these jobs will transform the destiny of youth. He said that this venue has witnessed many such events. In these events, youth have secured jobs in various government departments. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this reflects the commitment of the state government. The government is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of youth. It is also committed to opening new avenues of employment for them.
CM Welcomes Youth, Urges Them to Serve with Zeal
Congratulating the youth, the Chief Minister said that now they have become integral part of the government adding that now should serve the people with missionary zeal. Bhagwant Singh Mann hoped that the new recruits will use their pen for helping the needy and underprivileged sections of society. He said that the newly recruited youth should ensure maximum welfare of the public so that every section of society is benefited from it.
On the occasion Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains welcomed the youth and dignitaries.
