BEAS, NOVEMBER 20: Dedicating state-of-the-art building of newly constructed sub-tehsil complex here, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that role of religious organisations in state’s holistic development had always been remained commendable.

 

Expressing gratitude to Radha Soami Satsang Beas for creating such a modern infrastructure, CM Channi said that now the more than 70,000 residents of nearly 30 villages would be directly benefitted from this facility at Beas. He said that this complex would ensure the delivery of administrative works and requisite documents including registration of land , getting fard etc besides having Suwidha Kendra and Fard Kendra. He said that maximum citizen services related to different departments would be provided under one roof thus ensuring timely and prompt issuance of required documents to people.

 

 

Pertinently, Radhasoami Satsang Beas has donated a newly built Sub Tehsil Office to the Government of Punjab, which can be the one of the modern buildings in the state with a spacious area having five acres of total land. The sub-tehsil complex has a office building with built up area of 15,559 sq ft, Open Shed of 10492 sq ft, parking in 22519 sq ft area besides 128156 sq ft of green area. The fully furnished complex has a total 34 rooms including office and court rooms of sub Tehsildar, rooms for the entire staff and a conference room while special provision has also been made for the camp office of Deputy Commissioner Amritsar. The design, layout and architecture of the building can utilise as model for the similar buildings to be built in future.

 

Later, answering a query of media persons, CM Channi said thanked the Radha Soami Satsang Beas for constructing sub-tehsil at a cost of Rs. 5 crore. Referring to a query, Channi said that the panel of appointment of DGP had already been sent and the appointment would be made accordingly. On the issue of drugs, Punjab Government was making all out efforts to wipe out this menace, said the CM adding that law will take its own course.

 

Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included MLAs Santokh Singh Bhalaipur, Tarsem Singh DC and Balwinder Singh Laddi, Chairman PUNGRAIN Sukhjinder Raj Singh, Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Khaira and SSP Rakesh Kaushal.

 

 

Bhaini Sahib sports model to be replicated in Punjab; announces sports grounds in other parts of state: CM Channi

 

Visits Namdhari Sect head, seeks Satguru Uday Singh’s blessings for development of Punjab

 

Bhaini Sahib (Ludhiana), November 20:

In order to promote sports in Punjab especially in the rural hinterland, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Saturday announced to construct sports grounds on Bhaini Sahib sports model in block and district level.

 

On his first visit to Shri Bhaini Sahib in the district today, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi accompanied by Namdhari Sect Chief Satguru Uday Singh, Former PPCC Chief HS Hanspal, Samrala MLA Amrik Singh Dhillon, Sultanpur Lodhi MLA Navtej Singh Cheema, MLA Gill and Chairman Punjab State Warehouse Corporation Kuldeep Singh Vaid, inspected the AstroTurf at Shri Bhaini Sahib and said that Punjab Government would replicate this cost-effective and feasible model of the Astroturfs and grounds in the entire state.

 

Reiterating his government’s commitment to provide the state-of-the-art sports infrastructure to the players, Chief Minister said that such model sports grounds would enable the players to further excel in world class tournaments like Olympics and others.

 

He added the officials would soon chalk out a blueprint for developing such AstroTurfs and football grounds in consultation with the management of Sri Bhaini Sahib so that the players can practice in a professional manner as per world class standards and assured that there would be no dearth of funds for this purpose. He said that the Punjab government is working wholeheartedly to promote sports amongst the Punjabi youth and day is not far when Punjab would lead the state in sending maximum number of players for prestigious world level sports events.

 

Earlier, the Chief Minister sought blessings from Satguru Uday Singh for ensuring holistic development of Punjab and prosperity of its people.

 

Meanwhile, Satguru Uday Singh, who is also head of the Task Force of Rs 650-crore Buddha Nullah Rejuvenation project, discussed the project with Charanjit Singh Channi on which Chief Minister said that whatever he would ask, would be done instantly.
