Chief Secretary Urges Swift Completion of Mullanpur Stadium Works

Chandigarh, February 27: On Tuesday, Punjab Chief Secretary Anurag Verma instructed officers to promptly complete ongoing development works near the International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, to prepare for the upcoming Indian Premier League matches.

Verma presided over a review meeting, where he was joined by officials from PUDA, GMADA, and representatives of the Punjab Cricket Association, in order to assess the progress of engineering and civil works near Mullanpur Cricket Stadium.

Asserting that the Cricket stadium would spur development in the entire region, Anurag Verma emphasised  the Punjab Government’s commitment, led by Chief Minister  Bhagwant Singh Maan, to furnish top-notch infrastructure for sports.He prioritized the swift completion of ongoing works before the cricket matches, pledging to personally oversee progress on a daily basis. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of timely completion to ensure readiness for the upcoming events.
