ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਨੀ ਨੇ ਦਵਾਏ ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਤੇ ਝੂਟੇ
ਬੱਚੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਵਾਜ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਹੈ।
ਅੱਜ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੋਰਿੰਡਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਕੋਲ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡਦੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਆਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਛੋਟੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਡਦੇ ਉੱਡਣ ਖਟੋਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੇ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਦੇ ਝੂਟੇ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲੂ। 
ਅੱਜ ਉਸੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਜ਼ਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਦਾ ਝੂਟਾ ਦਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਛੂਹਣ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਬਲੀਅਤ ਦੀ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਸ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਮਾਰਗ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਹੀਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸਭ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
Children are the future of Punjab and the Country, and fulfilling their dreams is my goal.
Today during my visit to Morinda, I saw few children playing near the helicopter. I remember the time when I was young, I used to see planes and think that one day I too would get a chance to sit in it and fly somewhere.
Today, reminiscing about the same, I made few village children fly with me in helicopter and fulfilled their dream.
Meeting them and talking to them, I felt that there was no dearth of talent in Punjab, but there is a need to give proper guidance to these children. I promise all the children of Punjab that I will do my best to create a bright future for them. The Punjab Government is the government of all, and realizing the dreams of all is the biggest responsibility of me and my government.
