PWD MINISTER HANDS-OVER APPOINTMENT LETTERS TO 15 CANDIDATES ON COMPASSIONATE GROUNDS

Chandigarh, October 7:

With the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government committed to provide employment to the youth in the state, Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Friday handed over appointment letters to 15 candidates in the Department of Public Works (PWD). These jobs were given on compassionate grounds for the posts of grade-3 and 4.

The Minister, while congratulating the newly recruited candidates, exhorted them to serve the people of the state with utmost dedication and honesty.

After the minister was apprised that a few of the candidates were still studying, he motivated them to complete their studies.

          The Cabinet Minister said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led Punjab Government is fully committed to provide employment to the youth of the state.

He said that the process to recruit at least 403 employees including 201 Junior Engineer (Civil), 184 Junior Craftsmen and 18 Junior Engineer (Electrical) has been completed. “Soon, the state government is going to hand-over appointment letters to them,” he added.

Pertinently, all the pending cases pertaining to jobs on compassionate grounds in the department have been cleared by the PWD Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on priority basis. As many as 33 candidates have been given appointment letters on compassionate grounds in the department so far.
