Says, Five sewage treatment plants will be constructed soon in Kharar city
Chandigarh, June 3.
Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Labour, Investment Promotion and Hospitality Minister Anmol Gagan Mann heard the problems of the people from different wards of Kharar city on Saturday and solved most of the issues. Furthermore, necessary guidelines were issued to the officials of various departments to address the remaining problems.
Giving more information in this regard, minister said that Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has expedited efforts to solve the problems of the people and promote development in Kharar city.
The Minister said that adequate arrangements have been made for rainwater drainage in Kharar city. She said that the project to provide canal water to Kharar city is progressing rapidly, and soon water supply will commence in zone A of Kharar city.
Minister informed that the construction of five sewage treatment plants in Kharar city will begin soon.
She shared that electricity connections have been sanctioned for six tube wells in Kharar city, which have been running on generators for the past three years.
The Minister informed that tenders have been published for installing six new tube wells in the city and the process will be completed soon. Moreover, efforts are underway to beautify Kharar city by decorating the overbridge. She added that the forest department has been directed to plant approximately 20,000 flowering plants to enhance the greenery and beauty the Kharar city.
Anmol Gagan Mann appealed to the people to actively contribute to the development of Kharar. She also urged them to closely monitor the development works in accordance with the prescribed standards.
On this occasion, SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh, Sewerage Board Xen Pankaj Sharma, EO Kharar Gurdeep Singh, Chairman of the Market Committee Hakam Singh, MC Ram Saroop Sharma, Vaneet Jain along with Labour Coordinator Raghbir Singh and Gurmeet Singh Karamjit Singh Valia, and other dignitaries were present.
