ਜਲ ਸਰੋਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਨੀਵਾਲਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਸੱਤ ਮਾਈਨਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਤੇ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ

ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੇਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਨਹਿਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਜਲ ਸਰੋਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਮ ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਜਿੰਪਾ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਕਿ ਝੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਹਿਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਾਈਨਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਝ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਨਾਜਾਇਜ ਮੋਘੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਭੰਨੇ-ਤੋੜੇ ਮੋਘਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
ਇਹ ਹਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਇੱਥੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਿਵਲ ਸਕੱਤਰੇਤ-1 ਵਿਖੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਟੇਲਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਨਹਿਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲਾਲਾਬਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੰਬੋਜ ਗੋਲਡੀ, ਖੇਮਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸਰਵਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਧੁੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਨਰਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਵਨਾ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਝੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਭੰਨੇ-ਤੋੜੇ ਮੋਘਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਈਨਰਾਂ/ਰਜਬਾਹਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਤੇ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਮ ਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਜਿੰਪਾ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਨੀਵਾਲਾ, ਭਾਗਸਰ, ਲਾਧੂਕਾ, ਮਮਦੋਟ, ਲਕਸ਼ਮਣ, ਬਰਕਤਵਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਫੈਜ਼ਵਾਹ ਮਾਈਨਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਰੰਮਤ/ਸਫਾਈ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਜਲਦ ਤੋਂ ਜਲਦ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਆਦਸ਼ਸ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝੋਨੇ ਦੀ ਲਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੀ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਵੇ।
ਨਹਿਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਖਤ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਦਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਵਰਤਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਅਚਨਚੇਤ ਨਿਰੀਖਣ ਕਰਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਟੇਲਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਹਿਰੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਬਣਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲ ਸਰੋਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਿ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਮੁੱਖ ਇੰਜਨੀਅਰ ਨਹਿਰਾਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਈਸ਼ਵਰ ਗੋਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਹਾਜਰ ਸਨ।

- Water Resources Minister asks officials to ensure cleaning of seven minors including Arniwala
Chandigarh, April 27:
In bid to ensure the supply of canal water to farmers at tail-end in the state, Punjab Water Resources Minister Mr. Bram Shanker Jimpa, on Wednesday, directed the department officials to plug all the illegal water outlets, besides repairing all the altered outlets before the commencement of paddy season.
These directions were issued by the Cabinet Minister while holding a meeting with AAP MLAs Mr. Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy from Jalalabad, Mr. Sarvan Singh Dhun from Khemkaran and Mr. Narinder Pal Singh Sawna from Fazilka here at Punjab Civil Secretariat-1.
He asked the officials to bring the altered outlets back to their original size and also complete the cleaning and repair work of minors and distributaries well-before the beginning of the paddy season.
Mr. Bram Shanker Jimpa also ordered officials to complete the work of repair/cleaning of Arniwala minor, Bhagsar, Ladhuka, Mamdot, Laxman, Barkatwah and Faizwah at the earliest so that farmers would not have to face any hardship for sowing of paddy crop.
Taking a strict note of reports regarding canal water theft, the Cabinet Minister instructed the officials to conduct surprise inspections to prevent this illegal practice so that the tail-end farmers would also get adequate share of canal water.
Principal Secretary Water Resources Mr. Krishan Kumar, Chief Engineer Canals Mr. Ishwar Goel and other senior officials of the department were also present in the meeting.
