Moga congregation on 100th anniversary of SAD to witness 2 lakh congregation – Sukhbir  Badal

( Says rally will usher in regime change and pave way for SAD-BSP alliance govt)

Chandigarh, December 13 – The historic rally being held by the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in Moga to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the SAD is set to witness a congregation of more than two lakh people and will pave the way for a change in regime as well as all round development and peace and communal harmony in Punjab.

SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, who has personally overseen the preparations for the epoch making rally, said “the sea of humanity which will descend at Moga tomorrow will begin the count down of the corrupt, scam ridden Congress government which has betrayed each and every section of society and reneged on all the promises made to the people”. He said the mood of the people was  clear. “They want a responsive government which takes along all sections of society with it besides ensuring communal harmony and rule of law. This is why the people have decided to elect the SAD- BSP alliance to power”, he added.

Giving details of the preparations made for the rally,  Sukhbir Badal said the entire rally would be held across 100 acres of land with the main seating pandal itself being around 40 acres. He said separate space had been earmarked to sleep 10,000 workers who had reached the rally spot today besides space allotted for ‘Langars’ and car parking. He said accommodation had been readied for another 10,000 persons in gurdwaras and marriage palaces in Moga and surrounding constituencies. “Two big langars have already started running and anther six langars will be made operational by tomorrow morning”, he added.

Badal said a photo exhibit had also been established at the rally spot showcasing the history of the party as well as ‘morchas’ and people programmes undertaken in the interest of farmers, poor and downtrodden.

The rally will be addressed by SAD Patron Parkash Singh Badal, party President Sukhbir Singh Badal and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Senior Vice President Satish Mishra.
