Chaajli (Sangrur), April 15: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday said that it is shameful that Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa is delaying disclosing the location of 50 bombs. He claimed the bomb were smuggled into the state. Bajwa is waiting for some untoward incident to take place for his vested political interests.
“Bajwa Runs for Lawyers, Not Bomb Truths”
Addressing the gathering here today, the Chief Minister said that if Bajwa is having some tangible information on this issue then what is stopping him from disclosing it. He said that probably Bajwa is waiting for the bombs to explode so that he could play politics over the issue and mislead the people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Congress leader has spread the baseless canard to create terror in the minds of peace loving people of the state.
The Chief Minister said that now the state government has registered a case against Bajwa for misleading the people. The Congress leader is on his knees before the lawyers to save his skin. He said that a leader of this stature should not indulge in such cheap gimmicks to hoodwink the people by making such baseless claims. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that rather than making such irrational statements the opposition leaders must pursue value based politics.

The Chief Minister said that the traditional political parties are envious of him because they are not able to digest that the son of a common man is governing the state effectively. He said that the people of the state have lost their faith in the traditional political parties because of their anti-people and anti-Punjab stance. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the wise and brave people of the state had ousted these parties during the 2022 assembly polls due to which they are frustrated now adding that the leaders of these parties are now ganging up with each other to mislead the people.
The Chief Minister criticized his predecessors. He said that these leaders had built huge palaces. They amassed whopping wealth by misusing their official positions. He said that the walls of these palatial palaces were high and the gates usually remained closed for the people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders were inaccessible to the people. As a result, they were ousted by the masses.
DESCRIBES SUKHBIR AS A REJECTED LEADER, CONGRESS AS A DIVIDED HOUSE
The Chief Minister bemoaned that the state had lagged behind in development. He attributed this to the apathetic attitude of the traditional political parties. He said that the leaders of these parties ruined the younger generations of the state by misusing their power. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these leaders had never worried about the welfare of the people. Instead, they focused on the prosperity of their own families.
The Chief Minister criticized SAD Chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. He said that Sukhbir was a rejected leader. He was paying for his unpardonable sins. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Akali leader had misled the masses during his long stint in power. Consequently, the masses ultimately showed him the door. He also described the Congress party as a divided house. Its leaders were busy saving their own skin. They were targeting their party colleagues.
