Director General of Police, Punjab – Gaurav Yadav, has officially confirmed the apprehension of notorious drug kingpins ‘Manjit’ and ‘Lavjit’ by the Amritsar Police, alongside three accomplices. The operation resulted in the seizure of 3 kilograms of heroin, ₹5.25 lakh in drug proceeds, and the confiscation of three vehicles.

Manjit and Lavjit, widely known as the ‘Drug Big Fish,’ were pursued by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in Mumbai for their alleged involvement in a massive 260-kilogram heroin seizure. Additionally, the Delhi Special Cell had marked them as prime suspects in connection with a significant 356-kilogram heroin seizure.
