The office of the Prime Minister an institution and millions of Punjabi’s have laid down their lives to protect it. The people of Punjab and Congress party workers will fight until their last breath to protect the institution. More Punjabis have laid down their lives and have returned their homes & villages wrapped in tricolour, than the number of times that BJP, Sangh and it’s workers have hoisted the national flag.
The state of Punjab and its people are appalled by the cynical take of the PMO on the alleged security breach of Prime Minister Modi’s Punjab visit. Despite the dedicated services of the state of Punjab to the country and its Prime Minister, it is absolutely unfortunate that in a democratic country such as ours, BJP is using the PM office for political agenda.
To term the alleged security lapse, as a national threat to defame Punjab is unfortunate. Th real motive was to find a reason for the PM to miss the rally and to save from the humiliation of addressing 500 people on 70000 chairs. The Congress Party condemns such kind of politically motivated false propogandas and believes that a facade like this only belittles the sacrifices of Punjabi who have devoted their life to build this great nation.
It is important that the people of Punjab see the reality behind these false allegations made by BJP. It is because BJP has lost Punjab already and therefore it wanted to create fake agendas and deliberate nationalism and wanted to divert from the real issues of inflation, employment and farmers.
This is a deliberate attempt to divert the media’s attention from the pressing issues of Punjab and defame Punjabi’s & Punjabiyat. This petty politics is leading undue political gains to the BJP and it is detrimental to the people of Punjab who are suffering at their hands. Punjab stands strong on the national security front and their credibility is known worldwide. BJP at this stage should stop its waste efforts of dividing the society.
Our farmers were protesting at the Delhi border for over a year and 750 of them lost their lives while fighting for their legal and democratic rights. The PM had promised that income of the farmers will be doubled by 2022. While there was no substantive rise in the income of the farmers was achieved due to the failures of the Central government but through a systematic arrangement their legal right of MSP was also tried to be snatched by the Modi government.
The people of Punjab witnessed that the rally of the PM was only attended by 500 people where there were 70000 chairs. The farmers of Punjab were protesting for ensuring their economic rights and not a single over action was done to harm the office of the PM.
The security lapse is a collective responsibility of the central agencies and Home Ministry and the SPG rule book is followed strictly. The onus is being shifted to the poor farmers by defaming them and making wrongful allegations against them.
The Congress Party today wants to remind the PM and opposition parties that elections come and elections go but the nations and its citizens are constant and ensuring their respect is the ultimate goal of democracy.
