AAP MP Malvinder Kang condemned the statement of Sher Singh Ghubaya

Congress party should give clarification on Ghubaya's statement and Punjab Congress chief should apologize, demands Kang

Ghubaya should respect the democratic electoral process – Neel Garg

Chandigarh, June 14  The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab strongly condemned the statement of Congress MP from Ferozepur Sher Singh Ghubaya, saying his comments are threats to the people and against our democratic values. In a meeting Ghubaya had said that he knows who has voted for Congress and who has not. He said that he will prioritise those who voted for him and his known workers.

Condemning this statement of Congress MP, Aam Aadmi Party’s Anandpur Sahib MP and party’s chief spokesperson in Punjab Malvinder Singh Kang said that this statement of Ghubaya is a direct threat to the public. His statement is completely indecent and undemocratic. He should respect the voters.

Kang emphasized that the Constitution of our country grants citizens the right to choose their preferred candidate. Moreover, he pointed out that Sher Singh Ghubaya is soon to take the oath of the Constitution in Parliament; however, it is evident from his statements that he lacks respect for it and shows no faith in its fundamental principles.

MP Malvinder Kang said that Congress has won seven seats in Punjab and their arrogance is already at its peak. Kang demanded an explanation from the Congress party on Ghubaya’s statement and said that the Punjab Congress chief should apologize.

AAP spokesperson Neel Garg suggested that the Congress MP’s dissatisfaction with the democratic process might be leading him to openly threaten voters. As an MP, he should refrain from discrimination and respect all constituents of his Lok Sabha constituency.
