AAP Mourns Youth’s Death in Farmers’ Movement, Blames BJP

Shooting on unarmed farmers who are protesting peacefully is extremely shameful

Chandigarh, 21 February The Aam Aadmi Party expressed deep grief over the death of a young man after being shot by Haryana Police during the farmers’ protest. The party termed this incident as atrocity and repression of the BJP government.

The party said that firing on unarmed farmers who are protesting is very shameful. This incident cannot be condemned enough. This action of Haryana Police is not tolerable. The Aam Aadmi Party strongly opposes it.

The party said that farmers from many states including Punjab, Haryana want to protest peacefully in Delhi. Therefore, the Central Government should allow them to go to Delhi.

The party strongly criticized the BJP’s Central and Haryana governments for their violent action against farmers. The party said that farmers have the constitutional right to protest. The use of barbed wire by the Haryana government to stop them is absolutely unconstitutional and undemocratic. The central government should stop torturing the farmers and should accept all their demands.

 BJP government is murdering democracy :  Dr. Balbir Singh

Punjab Government’s Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh reached Rajendra Hospital in Patiala after this incident. He inquired about the health of the injured farmers admitted in the hospital and assured them of all possible help.

The Health Minister expressed deep sorrow over the death of the young farmer and said that this incident is highly condemnable. He said that the BJP government is murdering democracy on the Haryana border. This incident has proved that the BJP government at the Center does not want to solve the issues of farmers. The Center is trying to get its point across by scaring the farmers.

This incident is extremely sad :  Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra

Cabinet Minister Chetan Singh Jouramajra additionally visited the injured farmers at Rajendra Hospital in Patiala. He said that this incident is very sad. The BJP government at the Center is doing extremely wrong with our farmers. We share the grief with the family of our child who has left this world and we are strongly against the atrocities being committed by the Central and Haryana governments.

 Firing on unarmed farmers is a cowardly act – Harpal Singh Cheema

Finance Minister Harpal Cheema also extended his condolences to the deceased young farmer. Moreover, he condemned the BJP government in Haryana and the Center for the police firing on the farmers, emphasizing that firing on unarmed farmers is a cowardly act of the BJP government.

Cheema said that the farmers of Punjab and the country are protesting for their legitimate demands. The government should listen to them and accept their demands. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party stands strongly with the farmers in this difficult time.
