AAP govt ensured Govt job to youth in every village of Punjab: Arvind Kejriwal
Chandigarh, November 16: Former Delhi Chief Minister and national convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said Punjab has emerged as role model for the country by providing government job to youth in every village.
State government provided more than 48,000 jobs to youth
Addressing the gathering in a function to mark recruitment of 1746 constables in the Punjab Police, the former Delhi Chief Minister said that the state government has provided more than 48,000 jobs to youth in a free, fair and transparent manner. He said that due to this massive drive every village in Punjab now has atleast a government servant which is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction for all. Arvind Kejriwal said that the government will continue to provide jobs to the youth at this pace to make them an active part of the state’s socio-economic progress.
Punjab : Arvind Kejriwal congratulated 1,205 candidates
Exhorting the youth to discharge their duty efficiently, the former Delhi Chief Minister said that it is matter of pride for all of them that they are becoming part of the most disciplined and decorated Punjab Police. He said that since the Aam Aadmi Party took office in Punjab, they have worked to bring stability to the state, keep youth away from drugs, and open better employment opportunities for them, emphasizing their full commitment to achieving these goals. Arvind Kejriwal congratulated 1,205 candidates out of the 1,746 new constables in Punjab Police who received their appointment letters today.
“We have not issued the remaining letters yet, but we will send them soon.”
Arvind Kejriwal, the former Delhi Chief Minister, said that the model code of conduct in some districts and a few other reasons prevented the issuance of the remaining letters, but he assured that the government will send them soon. He emphasized that creating meaningful job opportunities for the youth is a top priority and added that the Punjab Government is determined to recruit talented young individuals across various positions. Kejriwal expressed pride and satisfaction that all jobs have been provided in a free, fair, and transparent manner.
The former Delhi Chief Minister said that at the time they had assumed office in Punjab law and order was at lowest ebb as gangsters and other anti social elements were flexing their muscles in state. However, he said that now Punjab has the best law and order situation in the country due to strenuous efforts of the state government. Arvind Kejriwal said that earlier the condition was deteriorating but now the things have changed and are moving in positive direction due to which Punjab is rapidly progressing.

Arvind Kejriwal, the former Delhi Chief Minister, stated that Punjab will become a role model for providing the best law and order situation in the state with a new model that his government will introduce soon. He emphasised that ensuring the security of residents is the top priority of any government, and his administration is committed to achieving this goal.Kejriwal also highlighted that the Punjab Police now has state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology to protect the interests of the people.
Kejriwal further pointed out that a key indicator of the improved law and order situation is the state’s successful attraction of investments worth over Rs 60,000 crore. He added that these investments will generate more than three lakh jobs, boosting the state’s progress and the prosperity of its people.
Arvind Kejriwal said that other parties had taken 75 years to ruin the state but AAP government has taken massive steps in last 2.5 years to reconstruct it and efforts will continue in coming times too.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann urged the youth to work wholeheartedly for realising the aspirations of the martyrs of the country. He said that today is martyrdom day of legendary martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha, who had sacrificed his life at a young age for country, so all of us should work hard for cherishing their dreams. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it will be the befitting tribute to the great patriot who laid his life at the altar of motherland.
The Chief Minister said that Arvind Kejriwal has brought sectors like health, education, power, water, and infrastructure to the center stage of national politics. He added that these sectors are the top five priorities of his government, and they are leaving no stone upturned to address them.
Bhagwant Singh Mann said that while the other political parties have always pursued the agenda of hatred and divisiveness, Kejriwal had given new direction to politics by his vision.
state government has taken several other pro-people initiatives too
The Chief Minister said that this vision has been duly incorporated by the state government to ensure the well being of the common man and the progress of the state. He said that apart from the guarantees given to the people of state during the run up for assembly polls in 2022, the state government has taken several other pro-people initiatives too. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the state has witnessed a number of such events in which youth have got jobs in various government departments.
The Chief Minister said that this reflects the commitment of the state government to ensure the well being of youth and opening new avenues of employment for them. Bhagwant Mann said that he takes immense pride and satisfaction in the fact that, to date, more than 48,000 youth have been selected for these posts purely on the basis of merit.
New recruits will use their post for helping and serving the needy
Bhagwant Singh Mann said that now these youth have become integral part of the government adding that now should serve the people with missionary zeal. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the new recruits will use their post for helping and serving the needy and underprivileged sections of society. He urged the newly recruited youth to ensure maximum welfare of the public so that every section of society benefits from it. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that to enhance the efficiency of the Punjab Police the state government has decided to create 10,000 new posts in the force.
Punjab Police equipped with the best available technology to maintain law
The Chief Minister said that it will help in checking the crime on one hand and create jobs for the youth in the coming days.He said that the state government has equipped the Punjab Police with the best available technology to maintain law and order in the state, adding that the Sadak Surakhya Force launched by the government is running successfully. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that ever since its launch the force has been able to reduce the death rate in the state due to road accidents by around 45%.
Earlier Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav welcomed the dignitaries during the function whereas Secretary Home Affairs Gurkirat Kirpal Singh proposed vote of thanks.
