Chandigarh, March 13 The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has strongly condemned Sukhbir Badal’s statement calling AAP MLAs ‘Malang’ and said that this statement reflects his feudalistic thinking.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in Chandigarh on Wednesday, AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang asserted that the 92 Aam Aadmi Party MLAs were elected by the three crore people of Punjab, not by the party workers. Kang emphasized that these MLAs are democratically elected representatives who stand for the people of Punjab.  Sukhbir Badal should respect the sentiments and decision of the people of Punjab.

Sukhbir Badal Sees Common People as Servants, Asserts Kang

This statement highlights Sukhbir Badal’s behavior towards common people, likening it to the attitude of monarchs toward their subjects. Such individuals perceive common Punjabis as their servants and regard power as their birthright.

These individuals view common people as insignificant, akin to insects, advocating only for those with substantial wealth and possessions to become MLAs and ministers, prioritizing their family, relatives, and personal gains. Throughout his tenure, Sukhbir Badal personally advanced proposals in cabinet meetings for his own financial benefit, acquiring land from the Forest Department for his hotel and operating luxury buses in defiance of Transport Department guidelines.

Kang said that all three parties, Akali Dal, BJP, and Congress, are full of people with feudalistic thinking. A few months ago, opposition party leader Pratap Singh Bajwa also commented on AAP MLAs in Jalandhar, expressing concerns about the nature of items that had arrived. Furthermore, there is a perception that Sunil Jakhar also holds a similar mindset. These individuals, while in power, exclusively prioritized their own benefits.

Sukhbir Badal’s Punjab Bachao to save the Badal family – Kang

Kang said that Akali Dal falsely claims to be a Panthak party and Sukhbir Badal’s Punjab Bachao Yatra is not to save Punjab and the Panth. This is a ‘save Badal family yatra’.

He said that Baba Kahn Singh Nabha in his writings has described the meaning of Malang as careless, a man who has no greed. Additionally, this assertion holds true because our Chief Minister, Ministers, and MLAs are not driven by greed.
