Jalandhar, July 13 The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has registered a landslide and historic victory in Jalandhar west by-poll on Saturday. Party’s candidate and now newly elected MLA Mohinder Bhagat and senior leaders of the AAP celebrated this victory with the people of Jalandhar west and took out a road show to thank the people.

Cabinet minister Aman Arora, along with Brahm Shanker Jimpa, MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal, and AAP’s Lok Sabha candidate from Jalandhar, Pawan Kumar Tinu, also joined the road show. Subsequently, they addressed the media to thank the volunteers and voters of Jalandhar West.

Addressing the media, cabinet minister Aman Arora congratulated Mohinder Bhagat and the volunteers of the AAP for this landslide victory. Bhagat  said that the people of Jalandhar west have gifted such a big mandate to the AAP that he cannot find enough words to thank them. He said that this is the victory of the hardwork of the AAP leaders and volunteers. He said that people have chosen the development and honesty above lies and drama.

Arora said that this mandate is a message to all the other political parties in Punjab. Arora  said that the Congress was too over-confident after their win in Jalandhar in Lok Sabha elections. Aman Arora  said that the people have clearly indicated that the assembly and Lok Sabha elections are different.

He said that this result is a message to the BJP and Sheetal Angural as well.

He said the BJP won only two seats in the 2022 assembly elections and none in the Lok Sabha elections in Punjab. Arora added that despite BJP’s efforts to poach MLAs, Punjabis support the AAP and CM Bhagwant Mann.

Arora mentioned the Mann government is making strides in education and health, curbing corruption, and providing free electricity. This, he said, is a victory for the politics of work in Punjab. He predicted a landslide victory for the party in upcoming Panchayat and local bodies’ elections.

Thanking the voters of Jalandhar West, MLA Mohinder Bhagat said it’s a victory for the Mann government’s work. He added that the large mandate shows people support the government’s working style.

Bhagat  urged all the leaders to come together and improve the Jalandhar west constituency. He said Jalandhar West became the most unsafe area due to mismanagement and negligence. Bhagat stated that the AAP government will fulfill its promise to make it the safest and best area in Jalandhar. He also thanked the workers and volunteers of the AAP who ensured this one sided win.

Chabbewal congratulated party supremo Arvind Kejriwa

MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal congratulated Arvind Kejriwal, Dr. Sandeep Pathak, CM Bhagwant Mann, and the party leaders and supporters. He praised the honest candidate and the Mann government’s hard work for the common people, which led to the AAP candidate’s victory.

Additionally, Chabbewal and Aman Arora pointed out that CM Bhagwant Mann’s presence in Jalandhar was instrumental in the election.  Dr. Chabbewal said this victory would boost the AAP cadre’s confidence and encourage volunteers to work harder.

Cabinet Minister Brahm Shanker Jimpa said that the people of Jalandhar west have elected an honest and gentle candidate. He said that the people have defeated the negativity of the previous MLA Sheetal Angural. He said that this victory is also proof that the people know the truth and, furthermore, they are with the AAP and CM Bhagwant Mann.

AAP’s Lok Sabha candidate and former MLA, Pawan Kumar Tinu, addressed the media, promising that the party will meet the expectations of Jalandhar West. Additionally, Tinu stated that for the past seven years, Jalandhar West has been a hub for illegal activities; however, this will change now.

Furthermore, he said that the AAP unitedly fought this election against the corrupt and liars. Moreover, he thanked and congratulated the voters for electing an honest representative.
