90.72 PER CENT STUDENTS APPEAR IN PSTET-2 EXAM: HARJOT SINGH BAINS

Chandigarh, April 30:

The School Education Department of the Punjab Government on Sunday conducted the PSTET-2 examination in a transparent manner to provide employment to deserving and hardworking candidates, the School Education Minister, Punjab, Mr.  Harjot Singh Bains said.

The Cabinet Minister said that this examination was conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University. Eliminating the chances of any cheating and forgery, Jammers were installed at all examination centres. Likewise, attendance of examinees was also done through biometric methods, Bains said.

Divulging the further information, Harjot Bains said that out of the total 98,358 students, 89,230 students appeared for the examination. Hence, 90.72 per cent was the attendance of the candidates. The exam was conducted from 10.30 am to 1.00 am and for this examination, 280 examination centers were set up by the government in different districts of the state.

He informed that no complaint has been received from any district across the state during this examination.
