Respiratory Therapist skill Course.

 

The Induction of first Batch of Respiratory Therapist short term skill enhancement course was done virtually on 15th November 2021 by  Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. Of India in the presence of Sh. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Adviser Skill Development and Technical Education, Govt. of Punjab, Prof. (Dr.) D.K. Singh, Director AIIMS Bathinda, Doctors of AIIMS Bathinda, Officers of Punjab Skill Development Mission and nursing candidates.

Welcoming the dignitaries, Prof. (Dr) D.K. Singh described this 3 month fully residential certification course as a boon to the society in terms of skilled manpower as well as the opportunity of carrier enhancement for the candidates. He had all praise for the proactive approach of Govt. of Punjab for funding this course.

Sh. Sandeep Singh Kaura described this unique course as an important step towards fighting the future CoVID-19 waves as well as filling the lacunae of trained manpower in ICU care associated with carrier upgradation of nursing candidates.

Sh. Rajesh Bhushan applauded the efforts of Director AIIMS Bathinda and his team along with the proactive approach of Govt. of Punjab in establishing the Center of excellence (CoE) in Health Sciences at AIIMS Bathinda and starting the Respiratory Therapist project within a short span of time. He directed other AIIMS to follow this model of AIIMS Bathinda to produce more skilled manpower in health for future.
