Chandigarh, January 28. The Bharatiya Janata Party’s membership drive took place across the nation. Now, every state unit is conducting the organisational elections. These units are under the Sangathan Parv. These elections include the booth president, circle president, and district president. They are conducted in a prescribed manner in their respective states. In this series, Dinesh Singh Babbu, Punjab BJP state election officer and former deputy speaker, made an announcement. By 27 February, the Punjab BJP intends to finish the election of district presidents.

Party’s Organisational Election Timeline and Workshops Announced

Babbu shared detailed information. Party members will elect the presidents of 24,400 booth committees from 14 to 18 February. They will elect 544 circle presidents from 19 to 21 February. Lastly, they will elect the presidents of all 35 organizational districts between 25 and 27 February. The party will organize district workshops in every district. This ensures the party conducts organizational elections according to the process outlined in its constitution.These workshops will take place from 5 to 7 February. The district election officers, co-election officers, and election officers of the circles will join. The party will share information about the election process in circle workshops. They will organize these workshops for every circle unit from 9 to 13 February. Under the said circle, the heads of booth committees, the in-charges of Shakti Kendra’s, and other invited workers will join. A state workshop was organized in Chandigarh on 27 January. It included BJP national secretary, Punjab co-in-charge, and MLA Dr. Narinder Singh Raina. Himachal BJP co-in-charge Sanjay Tandon is a national executive member. General secretary organization Manthri Srinivasulu explained the election process. State Election Officer Dinesh Singh Babbu reported on the preparations for the election process. State Co-Election Officers Manjit Singh Rai and Mohan Lal Sethi contributed their insights. Additionally, State Active Membership Incharge Som Prakash shared updates. State and District Election Officers and Co-Election Officers participated in this workshop. Members of the State Core Committee and State office bearers also joined. Additionally, District Incharges and Co-Incharges took part in the event.
