Punjab BJP In-charge warns: Perpetrators will be taught a lesson; Punjab must remain on high alert
Chandigarh, April 26 The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has condemned the barbaric terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. They have termed it a blot on humanity. It is also seen as a direct assault on Kashmir’s path to development. The cowardly act has sparked widespread outrage across the country. Punjab BJP In-charge and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani issued a stern warning. He declared that the perpetrators will be taught such a lesson. Their future generations will think a hundred times before casting an evil eye on India.
During this event, BJP National Secretary and Punjab BJP Co-incharge MLA Narendra Singh Raina was present. Punjab BJP General Secretaries Anil Sarin, Jagmohan Raju, and Dayal Singh Sodhi attended as well. State Vice President Subhash Sharma and Punjab BJP Media Head Vineet Joshi were also there among several senior leaders.
“Vijay Rupani emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has made decisive strides toward stability in Kashmir.” Development has significantly progressed in recent years. The air strike following the Pulwama attack broke the back of terrorism in the region. Subsequently, the valley witnessed record tourist footfall, improved employment opportunities for locals, and a return to normal life. He said this recent terrorist attack is not just the murder of innocent people. It is also a direct blow to Kashmir’s peace, trade, and tourism. This threatens to once again destabilize everyday life in the region.
The BJP affirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is highly capable of responding to such attacks. Home Minister Amit Shah also possesses the ability to respond effectively. They can do so with force and resolve. The party also urged the Punjab Government to keep the state on high alert. This is due to the state’s extensive border with Pakistan.
As part of the protest, BJP workers and leaders marched from the BJP office in Sector 37, Chandigarh, and culminated their demonstration by burning an effigy of Pakistan at Sector 25 chowk.
During the protest, workers raised powerful slogans such as:
“Pakistan Murdabad”,
“Doodh Mangoge Toh Kheer Denge, Kashmir Mangoge Toh Cheer Denge,”
and “Awaaz Do Hum Ek hai”—clearly expressing their deep anger and unity against terrorism.
The BJP paid tribute to the lives lost in the attack. “They resolved not to spare anti-national forces on Indian soil.”
