Range Officer Amb Avinash was arrested red handed by Vigilance while taking ₹30,000/- bribe. There were complaints against him for taking money from vehicle owners in exchange for wood transport permit. According to sources, ten thousand rupees were being demanded for transporting wood per vehicle. Taking action on this, Vigilance arrested the accused on Wednesday evening.
