The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Thursday, reached Punjab to do the election campaign in Amritsar for the AAP candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal. AAP supremo, along with Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann, held a mega road show in Amritsar and appealed to the people of Punjab to make the Aam Aadmi Party win all the 13 seats of Punjab. Before the road show, both the chief ministers and the AAP candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal paid obeisance at Golden Temple and Durgiana Mandir and prayed for the peace and prosperity of Punjab.

The AAP held a mega road in Amritsar where thousands of the AAP supporters waving flags of AAP and raising the slogans of ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ joined them. AAP National Convenor Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann, candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and AAP national general secretary Dr Sandeep Pathak waved back at the locals who came out to join the road show.

Arvind Kejriwal addressed the people of Amritsar and said that after coming out of jail, he immediately came to Punjab. During his jail meetings with CM Bhagwant Mann he used to ask about Punjab and its people the most. Your happiness is my utmost concern.

He continued, these people put me in jail. I am a small man, they put me in jail. I was wondering what my mistake was, why was I put in jail. Our party is small, we only have government in two states: Delhi and Punjab. What is my fault? My fault is that I arranged good education for your children, built good schools for your children, my fault is that I made the future of your children.

Arvind Kejriwal said My fault is giving free electricity to the people. My fault is that I opened Mohalla Clinics, made your medicines free, and made treatment free for all the people. When I went to Tihar, they did not give me diabetes medicine for 15 days. I am a sugar patient. For the last 20 years, I have been suffering from severe diabetes. For the last 10 years, I have been on insulin. I am given 52 units of insulin daily. When I went to Tihar, they stopped my insulin injection for 15 days. My sugar level reached above 300, sometimes 350. If a person’s sugar remains high for a long time, his liver and kidneys get damaged.

Hitting at the BJP, Arvind Kejriwal said that these people want to change the constitution. These people had very dangerous plans in their mind. They are repeatedly saying of crossing the 400 mark. These people were not telling why 400 seats were needed. When inquired, information came out that they would end the reservation. They need 400 seats to end reservation for OBC, SC and ST. Kejriwal further said that his freedom also depends on the votes of the people.

He said that your vote will decide whether Kejriwal stays out of the jail or goes to the jail again. This is not just another election, this is an important election, you have to vote to save our country, constitution and democracy.

Addressing the massive crowd gathered in the road show, CM Bhagwant Mann said that after coming out of jail Arvind Kejriwal today came to the holy land of Amritsar to pray for our country and asked God to bring our country back on the right track.

Mann said that tomorrow they will pray at Ram Teerath Mandir that the reigns of the country should go to the honest people.

CM Mann said that as cabinet minister of the Punjab government, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal freed 10,000 acres of illegally encroached land from the influential people.

Dhaliwal is one of the strongest voices that Punjab has. He will raise Punjab’s issues in the parliament and will get Punjab’s pending funds released. He urged the people to elect him as their representative with a huge margin victory.

Mann said that he can never repay the debt of the love that people shower upon him. And on the other hand people literally count their fingers after shaking hands with the other politicians. He said that from the enthusiasm of the people today, one thing is clear that the Aam Aadmi Party will clean sweep in these elections in Punjab.

He said that in Delhi they say ’25 may, BJP gai’ and in Punjab we say ‘Punjab Banega Hero, iss baar 13-0’.

Addressing the people, AAP candidate from Amritsar Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the people of Punjab are with Arvind Kejriwal. We are proud soldiers of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar and Arvind Kejriwal. We won’t let them put Arvind Kejriwal in jail again. Kuldeep Dhaliwal said that the people of Amritsar will win this seat for Arvind Kejriwal and to save the constitution of Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
