CM HAS TIME FOR BJP DELEGATION, NONE FOR PUNJABIS AGITATING FOR DEMANDS

AMARIDNER HEADS A PROXY BJP GOVT IN PUNJAB;  HE BETRAYED FARMERS AND SIKHS, USING COSMETIC LEADERS AS STOOGES: SUKHBIR

Chandigarh July 13 –  Shiromani Akali Dal president  Sukhbir Singh Badal said here today that by “dutifully hosting the BJP delegation” while giving a ‘royal ignore” to every other beleaguered and suffering section of Punjabi society,  the Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has finally revealed whose writ really runs in the state.”

         “Captain Amarinder Singh heads a proxy BJP government in Punjab and does not represent Punjabis whom he defrauded with sacrilegious oaths on sacred Gutka Sahib. He  has   time for  only the BJP leaders in the state. Even a mofusil level BJP worker can walk straight into his office or residence, something that even his senior most colleagues in the government or the party dare not do,” said Mr Badal in a statement here, adding, “Capt Singh’s attitude is an insult to the mandate that the people of Punjab had been misled into giving him.”.

  The Akali president said  that It was CM’s proximity with the BJP govt in Delhi which always allowed him to  disregard even his own party men.”

 Badal said that  Captain Singh ‘s conduct towards the people  contrasts sharply with how he cringes before the “ high and mighty in Delhi and before their local lords. “Captain Singh chooses to obey His Masters’ Voice (HMV) in Delhi rather than the Voice of the people of Punjab. He clearly represents the HMV culture.”

  The Akali president further said that people from every section of society in Punjab have been forced to  battle and sweat it out on scorching roads under blazing sun while the CM refuses to come even yards away from the air conditioned luxury of his pleasure dome. “Be it the people crying themselves hoarse against long and frequent power cuts or the farmers, the employees, the unemployed, the  teachers, the students and every other segment of society have been braving scorching roads under a blazing  just to be able to get the Chief Minister to listen to their grievances. But Amarinder Singh has been arrogantly refusing to give them even a simple audience forget about solving their problems. He finds time to roll out a red carpet even for junior level BJP delegations.”

   The Akali leader said that some  people  did not believe us when we had said that Captain was secretly in league with  the BJP on the issue of farmers’ agitation should wake up now and recognise the reality.” We have been saying that he betrayed farmers by enacting the same Bills in Punjab which the BJP did later in Delhi. The Punjab laws will stay even if the centre amends or scraps its Acts. This is a part of his secret deal with the BJP. “

  Badal said that as Captain Amarinder Singh’s anti-centre bravado finally stands exposed, “There are some other so-called religious leaders and even cosmetic farmer spokespersons hiding beneath his coat tails. They have been misleading the Sikh masses by claiming to be against the BJP as well as against the anti-Sikh Congress party. But they have been holding nightly sessions at the luxury pleasure dome of this Congress CM who is in fact BJP’s best spokesperson outside BJP. These so-called Panthic leaders too are gradually being exposed before the people for what they are,” said Mr Badal.

  The former Deputy CM said that if  anyone wanted to know how leaders in a democracy should behave with their true masters , the people, one merely has to consider how  former CM Parkash Singh Badal kept himself amidst the people 24 by 7 all through his career.  The Akali leader said that even the Congressmen themselves have been talking openly about their “inaccessible CM” who doesn’t condescend even to meet his own  ministers.”
