CM inaugurates and lays foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 200 crore in Chintpurni Vidhan Sabha area of Una district
The Chief Minister while congratulating and facilitating the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Hindu New Year and Navratras, said that people of Chintpurni have got a gift of developmental projects worth Rs. 200 crore on this auspicious day. He said that the State Government has always ensured that the pace of development goes uninterrupted in the area, for which active cooperation of the Centre government was also being sought. He said that despite the covid-19 pandemic the State Government has ensured that pace of development goes on steadily. He said that credit of this goes to the active cooperation of the people, timely steps taken by the Prime Minister and a massive vaccination campaign launched in the country.
Jai Ram Thakur said that workers of BJP also ensured that all possible help was provided to the needy during the time of pandemic. He said that lakhs of masks, sanitizers and food kits were distributed free of cost to the people in need. He said that the Congress leaders did nothing during this testing time and were busy in politicizing this sensitive issue. He said that there were only two oxygen plants in the State, but today there were 50 PSA oxygen plants in the State. He said that there were only 50 ventilators in the State two years back and today the State has over 1020 ventilators in different health institutions. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided free vaccines to people of the country.
The Chief Minister said that the thumping and landslide victory of BJP in four states of the country has ensured that the country would soon be ‘Congress Free’ Nation. He said that now the congress leaders were in a state of shock and confusion. He said that the present State Government would surely ensure mission repeat in the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that over 5 lakh families have been registered under Mukhya Mantri HIMCARE scheme and till now, more than Rs. 210 crore have been spent for the treatment of 2.17 lakh people of the state. He said that financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month was being provided for continuous care to the economically weak people suffering from serious diseases under Mukhya Mantri Sahara Yojana. He said that Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojana has ensured that Himachal Pradesh becomes the first Smoke Free State in the country. He said that “Zero Billing” would be done for consumption of up to 60 units of electricity benefitting about 5 lakh consumers.
The Chief Minister said that the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi Assistant and ASHA workers have been increased and this would be applicable from this month. He said that the honorarium of sewing teachers, mid-day meal workers, Water Carrier, Jal Rakshak, Multi-Purpose Workers, Para fitters and Pump Operators have also been increased considerably. He said that daily wages of daily wagers have been increased by Rs. 50 per day to Rs. 350 per day and with this the daily wagers would get Rs. 1500 more per month.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 200 crore which includes 15 inaugurations worth Rs. 82.33 crore and 18 foundation stones worth Rs. 117.19 crore.

Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Youth Services and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur said that the BJP has won in all the four states in the recently held elections and now the BJP would surely again win Himachal Pradesh. He also urged the people to effectively use social media to disseminate the details regarding projects inaugurated and dedicated by the Chief Minister today. He said that Swan Channelization Project was possible due to the efforts of the former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, which has proved a boon to the people of the district. He said that over 22,000 students of the country were brought home safely from war affected Ukraine. He said that all this was possible due to a strong leadership provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Ujjawala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana started by the Centre Government were supplemented by Grihini Suvidha Yojana and HIMCARE schemes started by the State Government. He said that with the collective efforts of the double engine Government at the Centre and the State would surely ensure formation of BJP Government in the State again in December this year. `
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar thanked the Chief Minister and Union Minister for ensuring all-round and balanced development of Una district by providing adequate funds for developmental projects. He also thanked the Chief Minister for introducing Sahara Yojana for providing financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month to the families with a critically ill patient. He said that several welfare schemes have been launched in the budget for the current financial year. He said that the people of the State have made up their mind to once again repeat BJP in the State to ensure that the pace of development goes uninterrupted.
Local MLA Balbir Chaudhary while welcoming the Chief Minister thanked him for dedicating developmental projects worth over Rs. 200 crore. He said that over the four-year tenure of the present State Government, Chintpurni area has witnessed unprecedented development. He also thanked the Chief Minister for always being considerate towards the developmental demands of the area. He said that an Ethanol factory was coming up in the district, which would go a long way in strengthening the economy of the area. He also detailed a few developmental demands of the area.
