CM addresses delegation of Panchayat Chowkidars

 

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, while addressing the delegation of Panchayat Chowkidars here today, said that the employees were the effective tool to ensure effective implementation of policies and programmes of the State Government. He said the State Government despite the pandemic ensured that the employees of the State get all their dues well in time.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the Panchayat Chowkidars were one of the most important functionary in the panchayat. He said that the State Government would sympathetically consider various genuine demands of the Panchayat Chowkidars. He said that not even a single day delay was made in giving salary to the employees. He said that the daily wages of the daily wagers would be enhanced by Rs. 50 per day during 2022-23 which would ensure a monthly hike of about Rs.1500 in wages of every daily wager.

Chief Minister said that the State Government has decided to an increase of the monthly honorarium of Panchayat Chowkidars by Rs. 900 per month. He said that now the Panchayat Chowkidar would get Rs. 6,500 per month honorarium. He said that with this increase, the total increase of Rs. 2,350 per month have been made in their honorarium during the tenure of the present State Government.

Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government would also formulate a policy regarding the services of Panchayat Chowkidars.

A delegation of Anganwari Workers also called on the Chief Minister and thanked him for increasing their honorarium by Rs. 1,700 per month and of Mini Anganwari Workers by Rs. 900 per month.

Another delegation of ASHA workers also called on the Chief Minister and thanked him for increasing their honorarium by Rs. 1,825 per month. He said that with this the total increase of Rs. 3,700 per month has been made during the tenure of present Government.

President BMS Madan Rana thanked the Chief Minister for being considerate towards various demands of different sections of the society.
