Chief Minister reviews schemes of Housing for All Department, Issues key instructions to officers
Chandigarh, January 14 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government will soon provide housing. All underprivileged families will benefit from this initiative. The government will implement this under the ‘Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana’. Housing will be provided to underprivileged families. The Housing for All Department has made all necessary arrangements in this direction. Officials will carry out the allotment of 100-square-yard plots to eligible individuals in a phased manner.
Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini chaired a meeting and shared this information. It was part of the review of the Housing for All Department held here today.
The scheme will provide 100-square-yard plots in developed colonies with all essential amenities, similar to urban areas. To facilitate this, the Chief Minister has already approved an allocation of Rs 100 crore.
Provide bank financing option for flat/plot allotment to eligible families
The Chief Minister directed the officers to ensure something important. Eligible families should have the option of financing the amount for flat or plot allotment through banks. This will ensure that no eligible family is deprived of the scheme’s benefits. It is important even if they are unable to make a lump sum payment.
During the meeting, it was informed that, under the schemes, all eligible families have been identified. These families, who do not own a house, land to build one, or a flat, have an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh. Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana’, more than 5 lakh people have applied for 100-square-yard plots. Consequently, all eligible beneficiaries will soon receive their plots in phases. In addition, under the same scheme, 50-square-yard plots will be allotted in Mahagram Panchayats.
Similarly, under the ‘Mukhyamantri Shahri Awas Yojana’, more than 2.89 lakh families live in cities. These families do not own a house and have an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh. They have applied for housing. Among them, approximately 1.51 lakh individuals have applied for plots, and 1.38 lakh have applied for flats. Last year, provisional allotment letters were issued to 15,256 applicants.
Plots : The Chief Minister instructed linking the Property Management System
The meeting informed that Housing Board Haryana has successfully developed a Property Management System (PMS) software. This software manages the data of approximately 80,000 allottees. In the past, estate managers maintained all property records manually in ledgers. Allottees had to visit the concerned estate manager’s office to update their details after making EMI payments. Additionally, the Property Management System portal now integrates with the Jamabandi portal. This integration enables seamless registration of properties under Housing Board Haryana. This integration ensures greater transparency and accuracy in property records. The Chief Minister directed the team to link the Property Management System with the Parivar Pehchan Patra. This action will improve the implementation of schemes in the future.
