Haryana Govt Approves 43% Stipend Increase for MBBS Interns

Haryana Government granted approval for Increase in Stipend for MBBS Interns of all Govt. and private Institutions affiliated to Pt. BD Sharma UHS, Rohtak 

Chandigarh, July 2 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh, today sanctioned 43% increase in the stipend for MBBS interns of all Govt. and private Institutions affiliated to Pt. BD Sharma UHS, Rohtak. Now the interns’ will receive Rs. 24,310/- which is a significant increase from present stipend Rs. 17000/-.

An official spokesperson provided further details, noting that the last revision in the internship stipend occurred in 2018, increasing it from Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 17,000/- per month. Taking into account these factors, the proposed revised stipend for MBBS interns is Rs. 24,310/- per month, inclusive of the DA adjustment from 2018 to 2024.

The Government of Haryana actively supports its medical interns and ensures their financial stability during their crucial training period. This increase in stipend, amounting to a 43% raise, will significantly alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by the interns, thereby enabling them to focus more on their professional development and contribute effectively to healthcare services.
