Panchayats in Haryana will now get direct benefit of stamp duty: Krishan Lal Panwar
Chandigarh, March 13– Haryana Mines and Geology Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that the state government is continuously monitoring illegal mining in the state and strict action is also being taken against those involved in such activities.
Krishan Lal Panwar was responding to a question asked by MLA, Sh. Umed Singh from Badhra constituency during the ongoing budget session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha today.
Mining Operations in Ramalwas Suspended and Terminated
He said that the department conducted an e-auction for mining in Ramalwas village, Badhra Assembly constituency, in 2014-15. M/s Kayden Infra Pvt. Ltd had offered the highest bid of Rs.14. 35 crore in the e-auction. After obtaining the necessary EC and CTO, mining operations at the site began on June 14, 2016. During the agitation, the administration stopped mining operations, and the Mining Officer suspended them on October 28, 2024. Later, based on the Mining Officer’s recommendation, authorities terminated the mine on December 11, 2024.
Illegal Mining : Lessees Pay Royalties; Govt Collects ₹62 Crore for Development
Panwar stated that the lessees give the royalty only to the government. The government granted them mineral rights in exchange. The mining department deposited Rs. 62 crore, which can be used for development work.
