CM Nayab Singh Saini to Attend 10th International Yoga Day in Hisar
Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, will be the chief guest at the state-level event celebrating the 10th International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024. The event will take place at Maharana Pratap Stadium, located at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology in Hisar.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister will inaugurate yoga and Vayamshala centers in 18 villages and lay the foundation for 72 additional centers.
A spokesperson from the AYUSH department shared that in 2015, the state government initiated a project to promote yoga by establishing centers in all 6500 villages of Haryana. The Development and Panchayat Department is overseeing the construction of these centers. In the first phase, officials identified land in 1121 villages and have established 714 centers so far.
The spokesperson added that the AYUSH department is appointing staff in these centers, with 877 AYUSH Yoga Assistants currently employed.
