CM flagged off the Pilgrimage bus from Jind to Ayodhya Dham
Chandigarh, June 19 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh today announced a new initiative offering registered workers a pilgrimage at the government’s expense. Under this, the government will provide free to-and-fro journey in air-conditioned buses for registered workers visiting Lord Shri Rama in Ayodhya Dham. The government is formulating a plan to ensure that workers will not have to bear any cost for this pilgrimage.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering at the Shramik Jagrukta aur Samman Samaroh after flagging off a bus to Ayodhya Dham under the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana in Jind today.
Before the departure, the Chief Minister interacted with the pilgrims on the bus, inquiring about their well-being and extending his best wishes for their journey. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is committed to implementing welfare policies for all sections of society. He highlighted that the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana is a part of these efforts, providing free pilgrimages to senior citizens above 60 years of age from families with an annual income of up to Rs 1 lakh.
It is noteworthy that through the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Yatra Yojana, lakhs of economically disadvantaged devotees from the state will have the opportunity to visit various renowned pilgrimage sites across the country free of cost. This scheme also aims to uphold and respect the faith of the devotees. Pilgrimages to religious places are being meticulously organized under this initiative. Interested devotees must register on the portal of the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Yatra Yojana to avail the benefits of this scheme, which has already benefited numerous beneficiaries. Additionally, each devotee was provided with a kit bag by the Department of Information, Public Relations, Language, and Culture.
The event saw the presence of several dignitaries including Labour Minister Moolchand Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP Krishan Panwar, MLA Krishan Midha, Principal Secretary of the Labor Department Rajiv Ranjan, Labor Commissioner Maniram Sharma and other dignitaries.
The happiness on the faces of the elderly departing for the pilgrimage by bus was truly heartwarming. They expressed gratitude, attributing their opportunity solely to the current state government of the state. They hailed this initiative as a commendable step, emphasizing that no amount of praise would suffice for the government’s efforts. thanks to the BJP government, they are able to visit Ramlala, expressing deep appreciation for the pro-poor initiatives that enable the less fortunate to undertake pilgrimages.
Siyaram from Safidon highlighted the government’s pro-poor stance, marveling at the unexpected chance to visit a divine site. Ashok Kumar from Jind echoed similar sentiments, expressing immense happiness about his pilgrimage experience and advocating for the continuation of such beneficial schemes, which he believes fulfill the heartfelt wishes of many.
