Chandigarh, March 13 – Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said today, Haryana has become the first choice of investors from India and abroad. Over the last 10 years, 7,66,000 micro, small and medium industries have started in the state. They have provided employment to 39 lakh people.

State’s exports increased to Rs 2,75,000 crore in 2023-24: CM

In the year 2013-14, the state’s exports were Rs 68,000 crores, which increased to Rs 2,75,000 crores in the year 2023-24. Apart from this, the government has plans to set up an EV park in Rohtak. The Chief Minister answered questions raised by the opposition. This occurred during the discussion on the Governor’s address. It was during the budget session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly today. He said today the food processing industry is growing rapidly. Businesses have set up about 28,000 food processing units in Haryana. Additionally, authorities have built a footwear park in Sector-17, Bahadurgarh, which houses about 2,500 manufacturing units. Over the last decade, HSIIDC has allotted about 50 industrial plots in Bahadurgarh, attracting an investment of Rs 350 crore.

 India and abroad: Govt plans to set up 10 new IMTs in the state

He said they have developed and expanded another footwear park over approximately 70 acres at IMT Rohtak and have already allotted 94 plots. Similarly, Maruti Udyog has set up its plant in Kharkhoda IMT with an investment of Rs 18,000 crore, in which production will start soon. He said that the government plans to set up 10 new IMTs in the state. An IMT will also be developed near Julana. He said the government has already established logistics hubs in the NCR region. He said a rail coach repair factory has been set up in village Bari in Sonipat. Flipkart is setting up Asia’s largest supply centre on 140 acres of land in Patli Hajipur, Manesar. They are investing Rs 1,389 crore in this.. Amazon company will set up its 7th supply centre in Gurugram and this will create new employment opportunities for thousands of youth in the state. M/s Amperex Technologies is setting up a project at IMT Sohna on 178 acres of land at a cost of Rs 7,083 crore.

Aditya Birla Group is setting up a mega project at Panipat

Aditya Birla Group is setting up a mega project at Panipat at a cost of Rs 1,140 crore. Apart from this, the government is setting up a medical device park on 225 acres of land in Karnal. Authorities have allotted 178 acres of land at IMT Sohna to M/s Amperex Technologies Limited.This project will bring an investment of Rs 7,083 crore in Haryana. Over the past few years, companies like Enrich Agro, Panasonic India, Kandhari Beverages, and Aarti Green Tech have made many big investments in the state. The Chief Minister said the government started a new LPG subsidy scheme, ‘Har Ghar-Har Grihini,’ in August 2024. Under this scheme, BPL and AAY families receive LPG cylinders for ₹500 for domestic use. The government launched a portal for beneficiary registration on August 12, 2024.So far, about 17 lakh beneficiaries have registered themselves on this portal. So far, an amount of about Rs 38 crore has been released in the accounts of 13 lakh sisters.

Benefit of social security pension being given in pro-active mode

The Chief Minister said the government is giving the benefit of social security pension in a pro-active mode. People receive these pensions at home without any application. The government has provided social security pensions to 5,43,000 people. He said the government currently transfers Rs 1,041.83 crore every month to the bank accounts of 34,55,968 beneficiaries under various social security pension schemes. Additionally, the government operates pension schemes for the elderly, disabled, widows, destitute children, widows, and unmarried men.

Honours, cash prizes to players

The Chief Minister said Haryana is the first state in the country which gives the highest cash amount as a reward to the players who win medals in international sports competitions. The government has given cash awards of Rs 593 crore to medal winning players in the last 10 years. Sports nurseries provide a monthly scholarship of Rs 1,500 to players aged 8 to 14 and Rs 2,000 to players aged 15 to 19. These nurseries are training approximately 37,000 players.
