PUNJAB GOVERNOR BANWARILAL PUROHIT HOSTS ‘AT HOME’
CHANDIGARH, JANUARY 26: The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Banwarilal Purohit hosted the annual ‘At Home’ reception for the distinguished invitees on the occasion of 74th Republic Day of India in the lawns of Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh on Thursday.
The program began at around 4.00 PM with the arrival of Governor who was given a ceremonial welcome by the all-girls school band.
The invitees from different walks of life converged at the Punjab Raj Bhavan which was tastefully decorated on the Republic Day. The Governor greeted the guests present and exchanged pleasantries with them.
A beautiful cultural bonanza by the artists of North Zone Cultural Center (NZCC) for the first time was featured in the At Home reception at Punjab Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh. The initiative to promote the artists of North Zone was well received by the audience. The presence of National Awardees, distinguished sports persons and Divyangjan was another first time feature of the reception.
The reception was attended by Governor Haryana, Bandaru Dattatreya, Chief Minister, Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar, Member of Parliament, Kirron Kher, Punjab Cabinet Minister, Aman Arora, Haryana Speaker, Gian Chand Gupta, newly elected Mayor of Chandigarh, Anup Gupta, Rakhee Gupta Bhandari, Principal Secretary to Governor, Dharampal, Adviser to Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Satya Pal Jain, Additional Solicitor General, GOI, Gaurav Yadav, DGP, Punjab, Praveer Ranjan, DGP, Chandigarh, officers of Armed Forces, Vice Chancellors, Chairmans of various Boards & Corporations, Doctors, Journalists, Industrialists, officials of civil and police administration of Punjab and Chandigarh as well as other eminent citizens.
