PGIMER Chandigarh Launches Endocrine & Breast Surgery Clinic
Chandigarh- The Department of General Surgery at PGI Chandigarh proudly announces the launch of its state-of-the-art Endocrine & Breast Surgery Clinic. Director PGI, Prof Vivek Lal, inaugurated the clinic today. The clinic, is specifically designed for patients of endocrine and breast-related diseases, and will be held twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays and the registration timings for the clinic will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. This initiative is in response to the increasing demand for specialized treatment related to thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, neuroendocrine and breast disorders (benign or malignant). Furthermore, the clinic will extend its services to patients suffering from Diabetic foot.
Prof Vivek Lal took personal interest in the start of this facility in the Institute to cater to the demands of the patients.
Renowned medical professionals, including Dr. Sanjay Bhadada, Head of the Department of Endocrinology, Dr. Rakesh Kapoor from the Department of Radiotherapy, and PGI faculty from the Departments of General Surgery, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology, Biochemistry, Radiodiagnosis, and Hospital Administration, graced the event with their presence.
Prof. Divya Dahiya, head of General Surgery Unit II expressed her enthusiasm regarding the clinic’s launch. “In our unit, we examine over 80 patients per opd said Dr. Dahiya. “With the introduction of this clinic, patients will have access to all the necessary facilities under one roof, thereby saving them the hassle of rushing from one place to another. Additionally, this centralized setup ensures efficient coordination of care and streamlines the patient experience.” By consolidating resources and expertise, the clinic aims to offer comprehensive and efficient treatment options, enhancing patient care and experience.
