Chandigarh, Feb 19 The journalists of Chandigarh were in for a surprise. Jathedar of Misl Shaheedan Nihang Baba Fakir Singh Rasulpur (Ayodhya Wale) and Nihang Baba Harjit Singh Rasulpur were present. They gave the journalists bottles of the holy water from triveni sangam. This water is from the ongoing mahakumbh in Prayagraj. He was flanked by senior Punjab BJP leader Vineet Joshi. It is noteworthy that in Mahakumbh 2025, 13 Akharas from all over the country set up their own camps. Rasoolpur also set up its own Khalsa.
Nihang Misl Joins Mahakumbh 2025 for Historic Shahi Snaan
Rasulpur said that the entire Khalsa Misl stayed at the mahakumbh from Jan 6 to Feb 7 for a period of one month. They propagated gurbani during the shahi snaan procession at triveni sangam. Rasulpur said it was for the first time in history that a Nihang organization or dal organised shahi snaan jointly with other akhara. He added that of the 13 akharas participating in the holy event, three are related to Sikhism. These include Udasin Panchayati Akhara, Udasin Panchayati Naya Akhara and Nirmal Akhara. The Misl Shaheedan Nihang Baba Fakir Singh Rasulpur (Ayodhya Wale) is the first ever Nihang organization to participate in the event.
Rasulpur said that he represents Sikhism. He has participated in five mega sant sammellans and one religion parliament. He has propagated gurbani from these platforms. Rasulpur added that during the past one month, he propagated the teachings of Sikh gurus, gurbani and Sikh history at Prayagraj amongst mahamandaleshwars, peethadheeshwars, jagat gurus and saints from various religions.
An emotional Rasulpur said it was a matter of great pride for him. For a month, he stayed and propagated the teachings of Guru Sahibaan in Prayagraj. Guru Teg Bahadur Ji had lived there with Mata Gujri Ji in 1665 for a period of six months. It was after this period that Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born at Patna Sahib. Rasulpur added that the bhagts, whose baani is registered in Sri Guru Granth Sahib, were all related to the land of Prayagraj.
