Looking cheerful, Mrs Asha Kumari urged others to have faith in medical science and join the drive as she came out of the vaccination room after getting the shot. The vaccinators who manned the vaccination site were also excited.
The Director emphasised that there are absolutely no issues associated with the safety of the vaccine. He also said that this vaccine will have a protective effect against this dreaded disease Covid19. Moreover, this vaccine is safe and with minimal or no side effect.
Sharing about the mild infection associated with the vaccine, Prof. Jagat Ram said, “Mild reaction after vaccination is a good sign because the immune system of the body is reacting to the vaccine and creating antibodies.” He added that mild fever, body ache or joint pains could occur for a day or two, which will subside automatically, and people are free to contact the medical experts.
Prof, Surinder S. Pandav, Chairman COVID-19 Vaccination Committee at PGIMER, while updating about the Vaccination Drive at PGIMER stated, “The Vaccine Drive at PGIMER is running smoothly and the response is consistently picking up.
