Department of Cardiology providing extra numbers for teleconsultation to facilitate patients
In view of the increasing peak of a pandemic the physical OPDs have been closed. With our sustained efforts, the department of cardiology is providing Tele-OPD services for new and follows up cardiac patients, and we have achieved good survival in patients with COVID positive and COVID negative status with comorbidities with cardiovascular disease. Last year the department had provided consultation to approximately 34,000 patients through Tele-OPD calls with satisfactory outcomes. Whosoever seems to have a cardiac emergency on tele-consultation is advised to come to the cardiac department. We have also ensured the postal reimbursement of the medical bills and signing of the chronic disease certificate leading to less inconvenience of the patients.
Due to limited time available for registration in the morning hours many patients are facing difficulty in getting their tele consultation done. To facilitate this we are providing the following extra numbers which will be available from 10 am to 3 pm, however, it is expected that first, the patients should try to get themselves registered on this number -0172-2755993 between 8 am to 9 am and the following numbers should only be used for emergency purposes. Department of cardiology has already been attending to WhatsApp and web calls in nearby states and countries.
